Desperate for a new fighter that will help him get out of debt, Eddie Sullivan, a shady fight promoter discovers Walter, a 450-pound man who has spent his entire life in an orphanage. Eddie convinces Walter to enter mixed martial arts competitions on the promise that any prize money he wins will go to the orphanage. As they travel together from town to town, Walter discovers what life is like outside the orphanage, while Eddie becomes morally conflicted over whether to take all the loot for himself or keep his promise to Walter, the one person he can actually call a friend.
